## What we could not verify — for either vendor

Being straight about the gaps matters more on a first-party page, so here they are:

- **Pricing, for both.** Neither vendor publishes pricing inside its public repos. KinesteX requires a contact form for demo access and an API key. Sency's README links to a pricing and registration page ("Register now a new client for free"); we could not read the page itself, so we will not characterize what it offers.
- **Accuracy, for both.** No independent accuracy benchmark exists for either SDK that we could verify. KinesteX's above-90-percent line is its own marketing claim; Sency makes no comparable public claim in its repos. Do not choose between these products on accuracy claims — run both on your own movements and lighting conditions.
- **Sency's minimum Android version.** The iOS 16 pod floor is sourced; an Android equivalent was not found.

## Where KinesteX wins

KinesteX's edge is coverage and content. It is the only one of the two with a web story: the HTML/JS and PWA repos document iframe integration for browsers, where Sency's own platform table marks JavaScript "NA" — if your product includes a web or PWA surface, that difference is decisive on its own. Its public repos also document a broader prebuilt layer — our reading of the two repo sets, since neither vendor publishes a feature matrix: plug-and-play workout, plan, challenge, leaderboard, and gamified experience views, a content API for fetching workouts and plans, an assessment spec (timed-up-and-go, gait speed, sit-to-stand variants, balance stands), and per-rep data events. To be fair, assessments are not a KinesteX exclusive — Sency's README leads with movement and fitness assessments and personalized plans; the difference is the content-and-views layer around them. The iOS floor is lower (iOS 14 versus Sency's iOS 16 pod requirement), and the wrapper code carries an Apache-2.0 license where LICENSE files exist — though be clear-eyed that the hosted experience behind the wrapper is a commercial, API-key-gated service either way, and that the WebView architecture means your workout screen is a hosted web app, not native rendering you control.

Sency's edge is architectural, and it is a real one: SMKit is a native SDK, not a WebView. If you are building a polished native experience where the workout screen must match your design system frame-for-frame, integrate with your own rendering pipeline, or avoid embedding a hosted web experience inside your app, Sency's shape is simply the right shape and KinesteX's is not. The iOS demo docs go deeper on native concerns than anything comparable in KinesteX's public repos — Body Calibration, Adaptive ROM, and Session Lifecycle are documented as first-class SDK concepts. Sency also offers a genuine two-tier choice within the same native architecture: a low-code Branded Kit when you want speed, and the no-UI Custom Kit when you want control.
