No per-call fee at all — you pay only your own hosting, plus the engineering time to run, parse, normalize, and keep the dataset updated. The real bill is legal: the code is AGPL-3.0 copyleft and the data is Creative Commons with attribution/share-alike, so get it reviewed by counsel for a closed-source product. No approval gate is documented in the sources we checked, which is not the same as there being none.
